Stanley is a patient who came into the ER after falling off a truck ramp.
History[]
Stanley fell off a truck ramp and had hip and back pain along with chest contusions. He was breathing normally, so he had a blunt-trauma workup. Stanley started to get worse as Angus evaluated him, which Angus attributed to bleeding in his abdomen from a broken pelvis. Mario disagreed with this and said he believed the problem was in Stanley's chest. He wanted Angus to do a thoracotomy. Angus initially resisted, but finally relented. They cracked Stanley chest only to find his heart beating normally. Angus said the unstable rhythm was probably from the bleeding in his abdomen and was resolved by the blood transfusion.
Notes and Trivia[]
